Google has a news archive feature that shows a time line of stories and events for a particular subject. The Colin Archer time line starts in 1820. Around 2003, the trail of articles muddies a bit with the explosion of on-line articles. At that point, you begin to see a lot more references for Colin Archers that are not the naval architect.
